My Personal Gaming History

Well, now i'm going to tell you about my personal gaming history. This might be quite hard for me as this requires me to remember games that I played when I was about 5 or 6.

How did you start?
I started playing games from a very young age as my parents were into games and we owned quite a lot of the "retro" consoles. I have been told that my 1st console was a Dreamcast although I can't remember anything about it. The consoles I do remember however, are the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) and the Nintendo 64.

What’s the first game you played, the most memorable? Why?
I can't remember the 1st game I played thought I do have a vague feeling it may have been Super Mario on the SNES. My most memorable games however are probably a few games on the N64. These are; Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda- The Ocarina of Time, MarioKart, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Kazooie and Tetrisphere. My favourite game out of all these is probably the Legend of Zelda. I would say this is because it is generally an awesome game but i'm sure I have to come up with a reason.... :P I remember enjoying the storyline which was strange for how young I was. I remember drawing pictures and writing stories/ storyboards with my one of my friends who also loved the game. One thing that makes the game memorable for me was having to press Start and pause the game when I got to the first boss as it was a giant spider and I am still terrified of spiders to this day. Actually now, thinking about it, I paused the game whenever I got to a boss to ask my Mum how to do it as she was ahead of me in the game :D

What do you want from gaming in the future?
I would like gaming in the future to be of a huge variety. Games that can be played with friends, family or by yourself and different genres of games, maybe even new genres of games.... Something that I would like to happen though would be to find some way of putting people into games, so that they can experience the world that they are playing in. I think that this would be awesome.

What games would you like to play?
In the future, I would love to play the "re-vamped" versions of the games that I played when I was younger such as the ones mentioned above. I wouldn't like them to change the games too much as this would ruin my view of them, especially if they made the storylines ridiculously unbelievable. However, they need to avoid repetition, so there is a very delicate balance to get my approval ;)

Overall, in the future, I would like to see some of my favourite games or games with similar gameplay with new twists and awesomeness :D
